Crew
When Zoe (Video Production) and Shawna (Radio Broadcast and Sound Design) became friends, they soon realized that their personalities and qualifications were a perfect blend for such a project. Soon after the conception of Little Switzerland, the duo realized that help would only expand opportunities to improve the documentary to the standard they desired. Brady, a friend of Zoe’s and widely respected amongst those in the Video Program immediately signed on after he was presented with the opportunity. Along with Brady, they have had much appreciated efforts donated in producing business cards, generating a website and then some.
Shawna Wells: Director/Producer
Shawna Wells spent her formative years living in Wallowa where she met Nora Hawkins. The two became close friends quickly and after graduating high school, she spent a summer living out on the Hawkins’ ranch with Merel Hawkins and his friend Derel Skillings. It was then she was inspired to share his and his family’s story and coincidently, she became a student of Mt. Hood College’s Integrated Media Program, where she found interest in making documentaries. Shawna is the owner of Diamond Hitch Productions and plans to blaze new trails worldwide, all the while documenting.
Zoe Roes: Director of Photography
Originally from Tacoma, Washington, Zoe moved to Portland in 2000 and studied Organizational Communication and French at the University of Portland. Upon graduation in 2004, Zoe chased adventure in Juneau, Alaska for a total of three years until her return to Oregon in 2007 to begin studying Video Production at Mt. Hood Community College. She started Little Switzerland just a few months ago and quickly became a part of “the family” after only one short trip to Wallowa. Shawna says she sought her out for the position because of her “strong work ethic and sense of humor”. Zoe has worked on a number of shorts, but this project will be her first full-length piece.
Brady Fitzgerald: Editor
Born to San Clemente California, Brady Fitzgerald first became interested in all things video during his tenure at Mountain View High School in Vancouver, Washington where he worked as both a director and technical director for the campus news program. Upon high school graduation in 2004, Brady began taking courses at Mt. Hood Community College, eventually securing a spot in the Video Production program alongside Zoe Roes. Brady considers editing one of his strong suits and plans to pursue a freelance career as an editor once he finishes his degree.
