I searched online at Second Hand Baby Stores for some more local second hand baby stores, consignment shops and thrift stores and ended up finding two on my route to work. I stopped by one of the thrift stores on my lunch hour. Let me tell you, second hand stores and thrift shops are a GOLD MINE! I bought a 100 dollar bassinet for 15 dollars. If I were to put it next to a brand new one you would not be able to tell the two apart. It was easily in “like new” condition.

All of us parents with a newborn need inventive ways to stretch our important dollars and there are a lot of purchases that need to be made before and after delivery day. Thrift stores, second hand baby stores and consignment shops are a great way to save loads of cash. Second hand does not always mean terrible quality, second hand just means it did not come from the retail shops. As my son grows I return the favor and bring all of his gently used baby clothes to the local thrift stores so other new parents save their already stretched dollars like we did.
